Vegetarian Pizza
Pizza Base
Ingredients
Water- 250ml
5 cups flour
5 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon sugar
7gms yeast
Topping Ingredients
1 onion small sliced
1 sweet pepper sliced
1/2 cup Pineapple chopped
1/2 cup Cottage cheese 1 cup Ready made Pizza sauce
Dried Oregano, Basil and Parsley
2 cups Mozzarella cheese
Method
In a large mixing bowl, add all the dry ingredients and mix them
together. Add the oil and gradually add the water. Knead this mixture,
till dough is soft, for 5 mins. Allow the dough to rest for a few
minutes. Repeat the last two steps twice.
Take a lump of dough and roll into a pizza base. On the pizza base
spread the pizza sauce, and dried herbs as required, add cheese and
enough toppings. Pre-heat oven at 350F and bake till base is crisp and
light. As you will notice I was very creative with this pizza, I added
some mushrooms and maybe you can add black olives. I like black olives
as they are not as salty as the regular ones.
You can also use red onions instead of the regular
ones (this is really for a more colorful pizza). My next experiment is
with spinach. Cannot wait. Enjoy!!!
