Currant Rolls

Here is a simple, easy way to make Currant Rolls
Ingredients 1 lb currants 1cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon pinch of nutmeg pinch of Tonga bean seed (optional) 2 sheets store bought pastry dough
Method Wash and drain currants Mix together sugar and spices into into the currants Roll out pastry dough thin enough to roll Spread mixture evenly on dough Roll dough and secure edges with water Brush with melted butter Bake at 400 degrees for 30 mins or until golden brown Leave to cool Cut into desired pieces and serve
