Channa Salad
Channa aka Chick Peas is very nutritious and it makes an awesome and very easy salad.
Ingredients
1 bundle of lettuce or 1 pack of baby spinach
1 can of channa aka chick peas
feta cheese
Italian dressing
Method
Cut up the lettuce into small pieces. Empty the channa into a strainer and allow the excess water to drain out.
In a mixing bowl put the lettuce and channa aka chick peas. Cut up some feta cheese into small pieces and add to the mixing bowl.
I only add the Italian dressing when the salad is being served. I notice that the lettuce gets soggie when I put the dressing as I am making the salad.
For a little extra flavor, sprinkle a little coconut flakes on my serving of the salad. You can be very creative with this salad,
you can add some cherry tomatoes for starters.
