Breaded Squash

This is my first time cooking with squash. I know some people use this vegetable instead of pumpkin in their recipes.

Ingredients
2 squash
bread crumbs

Method
Well the first thing to do is to peel the squash. I had some difficulty peeling it whole, so I decided to slice the squash and then peel the slices. It was much easier that way.

The slices from the narrow part of the squash had no seeds and the wider part, which I think is the bottom of the squash, the slices had seeds. So I gently removed the seeds.

The next step was to dip the sliced squash in some bread crumbs but I found that the bread crumbs were not sticking to the squash that easily, so I dipped them in coconut oil first and then in the bread crumbs.

Put on your oven and allow it to hot. Grease a baking sheet and place the breaded squash in the baking tray. Put the tray in the oven and allow the squash to cook for about 20 minutes.

This is quite an interesting dish. I like the fact that you can enjoy this vegetable in an exotic fashion without loosing much of its flavor.
